Lionel Richie (full name Lionel Brockman Richie Jr.)  is an American singer, songwriter, actor & record producer. Richie's recordings with the Commodores and in his solo career made him one of the most successful balladeers of the 1980s. Over the course of his career, Lionel Richie has sold over 90 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. Richie won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for Can't Slow Down, and his other Grammy Awards include Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) in 1985 and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Truly" in 1983. Lionel Richie has also been nominated for two Golden Globe awards and won one. In 1982 he was nominated for Best Original Song for the film Endless Love. Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band that was formed in Jacksonville. The group has long been on the music scene and has had a successful career throughout their time together. Although the band has had some tragic events happen, including the unexpected deaths of some of their members, they were still triumphant over their adversities and pulled through to the front of rock bands from their generation. From the many awards and recognitions they've received, their biggest achievement was probably their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The group has seen many members come and go, but their current lineup consists of Gary Rossington on the guitar, Michael Cartellone on drums, Peter Keys on the keyboard, Keith Christopher on bass, Mark Matejka with backing vocals, Rickey Medlocke playing the guitars, and lastly, Johnny Van Zant as the lead vocalist.
