Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band that was formed in Jacksonville. The group has long been on the music scene and has had a successful career throughout their time together. Although the band has had some tragic events happen, including the unexpected deaths of some of their members, they were still triumphant over their adversities and pulled through to the front of rock bands from their generation. From the many awards and recognitions they've received, their biggest achievement was probably their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

      Lynyrd Skynyrd Background

Lynyrd Skynyrd was most popular in the 70s for their work in rock and roll music. The group got started in music in the 60s, and by the time the 70s rolled around, they had already gained a substantial following and had headlined several local and national music events.
