Imagine Dragons, an American pop rock band formed in 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, currently features lead singer Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, and bassist Ben McKee. They first broke into the music scene with the release of their single "It's Time" and gained widespread recognition with their debut album *Night Visions* (2012), which produced the hit singles "Radioactive" and "Demons". "Radioactive" was named the "biggest rock hit of the year" by Rolling Stone, and it held the record for the longest charting song on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2013, MTV hailed Imagine Dragons as the "year's biggest breakout band," while Billboard named them the "Breakthrough Band of 2013" and the "Biggest Band of 2017." They also topped Billboard's "Year in Rock" rankings for 2013, 2017, and 2018, and were recognized as the top duo/group in 2018.
Their second studio album, *Smoke + Mirrors* (2015), topped the charts in the US, Canada, and the UK. Following this, their third album, *Evolve* (2017), brought massive success with chart-topping hits like "Believer," "Thunder," and "Whatever It Takes," making Imagine Dragons the artist with the most weeks at number one on Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart. Their fourth album, *Origins* (2018), featured the hit single "Natural," which also reached number one on the Hot Rock Songs chart. Though their albums were commercially successful, critical reception was varied. Their fifth album, *Mercury – Acts 1 & 2* (2022), was released in two parts and received mixed reviews as well.
Imagine Dragons have won numerous awards, including three American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, one Grammy Award, an MTV Video Music Award, and a World Music Award. In 2014, they received 14 Billboard Music Award nominations, including for Top Artist of the Year. By 2018, they were nominated 11 more times for Billboard awards.
With over 74 million albums and 65 million digital songs sold globally, Imagine Dragons rank among the best-selling music artists in the world. The band has amassed an impressive 160 billion streams across music platforms. They were Spotify's most-streamed group in 2018 and made history as the first rock band to have four songs—"Radioactive," "Demons," "Believer," and "Thunder"—surpass one billion streams each. Additionally, they are the only group in RIAA history to have four songs certified higher than Diamond. According to Billboard, "Believer," "Thunder," and "Radioactive" were the top three best-performing rock songs of the 2010s.

Thirty Seconds to Mars, often abbreviated as 30 Seconds to Mars, is an influential American rock band from Los Angeles, California, founded in 1998. The core members of the band are brothers Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards) and Shannon Leto (drums, percussion), with the lineup evolving over time but anchored by the Leto brothers. Their self-titled debut album, *30 Seconds to Mars* (2002), produced by Bob Ezrin, received positive reviews though initially saw limited commercial reach. The band gained global popularity with its second album, *A Beautiful Lie* (2005), which earned multiple certifications worldwide. Their 2009 album, *This Is War*, marked a bold shift, blending experimental music and diverse influences, created amid a legal conflict with EMI—chronicled in the 2012 documentary *Artifact*. Thirty Seconds to Mars later partnered with Universal Music to release *Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams* (2013), achieving both critical acclaim and commercial success, followed by *America* (2018) and *It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day* (2023), both sparking varied reviews. By 2014, the band had sold over 15 million albums globally and continued to enjoy sold-out tours and top festival performances. Known for high-energy live shows and genre-blending sounds, the band weaves philosophical and spiritual themes into its music, frequently exploring concept albums and experimental styles. Thirty Seconds to Mars has garnered numerous awards, including a Guinness World Record, and has been featured in *Kerrang!* as one of the best artists of the 2000s.
